Research Tools > Write, Cite, Make A Bibliography

ETSU students, faculty, and staff have access to RefWorks, a Web-based research management, writing and collaboration tool designed to help researchers easily gather, manage, store, and share all types of information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies. If you need to manage information for any reason -- whether it be for writing, research or collaboration -- RefWorks is the perfect tool.

To get the most out of RefWorks, we suggest that you complete the RefWorks Tutorials and explore the RefWorks LibGuide.

Create or Login to a RefWorks Account

To begin using RefWorks, go to https://refworks.com/refworks2/?r=authentication::init&groupcode=RWETSU. If you have not yet created a user account in RefWorks, click on the link to Sign Up for a New Account. Once you have your RefWorks account you will be able to login to RefWorks from any Internet-connected computer.

RefWorks Group Code

Each time you access RefWorks from a computer not on the ETSU campus network, you will be asked to enter a Group Code before entering your personal login information. ETSU's Group Code is RWETSU.

Library Instruction

To arrange for an instruction session for your classes on using RefWorks, please contact Kathy Campbell, Instruction Librarian, at 423-439-5629 or campbeka@etsu.edu.
