1. Interlibrary Loan

The resources of Sherrod Library, which include over 20,000 full text journals, over 1 million print materials, and streaming video, are at your disposal. If you cannot find what you need here, we belong to a vast network of libraries from which we can borrow materials.  You can Request interlibrary loan materials online through ILLiad. 2. Reference by Appointment

Our reference librarians are available for one-on-one appointments to assist you with your research - call 439-4307 or email refdesk@etsu.edu to set up an appointment time.

3. House calls

Librarians can come to your office to assist you with Sherrod's resources.​

4. Adjunct Study Room

Sherrod Library’s Adjunct Study Room is available to all currently employed adjunct faculty only. The room is accessible whenever Sherrod Library is open. The room is accessible by card-swipe access only (current ETSU ID card required).

Lockers in the room are available on a first-come, first served basis. Lockers may be checked out for up to one semester with no renewals. There is no waiting list for lockers. Locker applicants will complete an application form, available in the link on this page. All applicants will be charged $10 for lost keys. An additional service charge will be levied at the going rate if a lock change is required.

5. Write, Cite, Make a Bibliography

6. Course Reserves

We have staff to assist you with making materials available through course reserves to your students.

E-Reserve: The Sherrod Library E-Reserve service now provides PDF documents of scanned book chapters/journal articles and delivers them straight to your D2L course page for quickest and easiest access by your students.

Getting Print Materials: How to authorize your GA/TA for library privileges?

Faculty send their GA/TAs to Sherrod Library to check out materials and pull and photocopy journal articles for them. While we do not recommend that you share your ETSU username and password with anyone, you may add a GA/TA to your library account to facilitate borrowing of library materials.You may email  a statement giving authorization for your GA/TA to check out library resources on your account.Email should be addressed to Jeri Paddock, Circulation Manager paddock@etsu.edu

7. Library Instruction

We are happy to schedule a library instruction session designed specifically for your class. We will also create a class specific LibGuide (like the one you are looking at right now!) highlighting appropriate library resources to support class assignments.For more information please visit Teaching Support page.
