East Tennessee State University also serves as a depository for state adopted textbooks.

The loan period is three days with no renewal for all patron categories.
The loan period is two weeks for all patron categories; renewals are possible if there are no holds.
There are several reasons why a book is not on the shelf. Please report this to the Circulation Department so that they can search for it.
The materials in the Juvenile/Textbook room are used by different departments in different ways. For example, it would be impossible to follow trends in children's literature if the Sherrod Library did not have older, as well as newer, books.
All faculty, administrators and students at ETSU are encouraged to participate in building the library's book collection. Forms are available at the Reference desk or an electronic request form may be filled out. Book purchases are subject to available funds.
Children are welcome in this room; however, young children should not be left alone in the room for their own safety.
The hours are the same as those posted for the main library.
